Back to Malaysia via Hong Kong

Geraldine Doyle and I are nearly “on the road again”.

Getting ready to embark on Phase 2 of our trip from last year. We stored our bike in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last October to wait out the rainy season in Indonesia (and other important reasons).

We’re now heading back to Kuala Lumpur via a brief tourist stop in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Airport Arrivals Hall

This explains how Hong Kong is the most densely populated city!

The Streets near our Hotel in Mongkok are filled with shops that can repair probably anything. This place rewinds electrical alternators and generator coils.

Dried seafood, spices etc….

From Kuala Lumpur, we’ll ship the bike to Kota Kinabalu, Borneo (Malaysia) and continue down through Brunei to the Indonesian side of Borneo.

From there, we plan to island hop through Indonesia to Timor-Leste.

Then (insert miracle solution here) somehow get the bike to Australia from Dili Timor-Leste.
